Custom Slaughter
General Information
Weights will be available the morning after slaughter. It is your responsibility to call us the day after slaughter to get weight(s) and to give assignments,
If you have used a mobile slaughter truck, we will require that you provide us with your customer information. First and last name, working phone number, and what your customer has purchased (Whole, half, or quarter and which animal).
We will attempt to make a courtesy call to your customer(s). But, it is their responsibility to contact HMS. And your responsibility to make sure that they do.
When your animal(s) is delivered for slaughter, they will be placed in a clean pen with plenty of fresh water and food. We want you to feel confident about your animals care from drop off to pick up of finished product.
RESERVING A SLAUGHTER DATE
You will need to call us and reserve a slaughter date. Our scheduling email is homemeatservice@gmail.com and direct phone number is (360) 426-1643. We will need the following information when you call:
Date that you would like to reserve. Please be aware, because of our high volume of processing, our calendar fills up rapidly. At this time, we recommend a date is booked a year in advance.
Number of animals you are bringing in.
If we are doing the slaughter here at HMS, we require that your animal be delivered the day before slaughter before 10 a.m.
We also require that your slaughter fees be paid in full at that time. We accept cash or check. Since this is a service, sales tax will be applied.
Will you or your customers want to keep the offal (Heart, Tongue, Tail and Liver).
There is an additional fee for offal that we clean and wrap. If you or your customer wants to keep the offal for pet food it will be boxed and kept fresh and it needs to be picked up day after slaughter.
